Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Reviews and understands customer requirements

•Develops suitable packaging concepts

•Supports schedule and part cost estimates

•Creates Bill of Materials (BOM)

•Leads and mentors Junior Engineers

Minimum Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Engineering

•Eight (8) years electro-mechanical design experience

•Extensive mechanical design experience within electronics or related industries

•Focused and detail-oriented

•Basic analytical skills

•Ability to understand and solve new design issues quickly

•Willingness to learn new skills and improve capabilities

•Team-player with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues

•Excellent communication skills

•Strong leadership skills

• Experience in the following, an advantage:

•Original design within customer specifications

•Thermal management

•Designing within cost targets

•Handling sheet metal, plastic, extruded or die cast parts and other relevant manufacturing processes. Hands-on capabilities of 3D CAD package such as Pro/Engineer
